SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa. After 68 years of a Forrest Gump -like life, Robert L. Potter of Shaler Township passed away on May 8, 2010, in the company of his family. The cause was complications due to an almost five-year battle against leukemia.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Jesse Potter; and his six children, Jason (Alison), Christopher (Genevieve), Carrie, Benjamin, Catherine, and Margaret Potter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Potter.
He is also survived by his 98-year old mother, Elizabeth Potter; and his sisters, Helen Marie Hayes (Charles) and Carolyn Funk.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Neely's, 2208 Mount Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, Pa.
A Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Bonaventure Church.
