 Salem High School Class of 1959 - Latest News 05-18-2010 - Update on Karen Klein Whelan from Carol Ward Outtrim 5/16/2010 She (Karen) is doing pretty well and starting this coming week she will be taking both the chemo and the pill she had been on. The pill did really well for her. The Dr says that it won't be as strong from now on. So, he is going to use both the Chemo and the Pill together for the next 6 weeks and hopes that will do the trick. She did not have too many side affects from either one, so hopefully together they will be ok as well. We are still planning our trip to WA and doing the cancer walk on June 25th and 26th. This has been a long haul since December and still about another 3 to 4 months to go. Then there may even be some radiation. One day at a time and lots of prayers. Thanks to everyone who remembers and sends cards. It helps more than anyone knows. Return to Latest News |
