 Salem High School Class of 1959 - Latest News 12-28-2012 - John Bergman's Heart attack Below is an e-mail message received from John Bergman's wife Pat. Â Please keep John in your thoughts and prayers. Â I f you would like to send John your get well wishes you'll find his e-mail and snail mail addresses here on our website under 'Contact Classmates.' On 12/12/12, John Bergman had a heart attack and was life flighted to Aultman Hospital in Canton. Â His artery was 100% Â blocked. Â Â The surgeon was waiting for him when the helicopter landed. Â Put in a stint to open the artery. Â The Dr. said if I wasn't home & got him to the hospital as fast as I did, he would have been gone in an hour. Â No damage to the heart. Â John didn't doctor or take any medicine, thought he was perfectly healthy. Â He had no pain or warning of a heart problem. Â Â Â He was out spliting wood and came in and said something isn't right because he couldn't get his breath. Â Then sweat started running down his neck. Â Home recuperating, doing ok, extremely tired. Â Taking several medicines and needs therapy. Â I feel blessed he's alive. Please keep him in your prayers.
