 Salem High School Class of 1959 - Latest News 04-02-2010 - Fred McNeal Update - March 31, 2010 Just to update re: Fred, After his first round of chemo and a resting week from chemo, Fred had a second bone marrow with biopsy on Monday, March 29,....we got the very best news last evening, thus the best birthday gift..there were NO cancer cells noted! Lots of prayers went up and we have been showered with God's many blessings. Fred will remain in the hospital for two to three more weeks for blood and platelet transfusions, as needed, until his own system recovers from the chemo. He is still enduring the effects of the chemo which we are hoping will subside soon. We are not sure what the next course of treatment and monitoring will entail and prefer to take this journey one day at a time.
