 Salem High School Class of 1959 - Latest News 01-09-2014 - Karen Klein Whelan Update 12-24-2013 Best Christmas present ever! Mom is home from the hospital and resting comfortably! The last word we had Saturday night was that Mom would be in the hospital for 5 more days so they could monitor her platelets and kidney function. But God decided to heal her system enough and Sunday afternoon they released her to enjoy the Christmas season at home. Please continue to pray for her strength and ease of breathing and this additional fluid to continue to be released from her body, allowing her heart and lungs to work in their normal state. I pray your home is filled with love and joy this Christmas season. Thank you all so much for your prayers and kind words of encouragement! I forwarded them onto Skip and Karen for their encouragement as well. We had our family Christmas at Mom and Dad's last night - it was wonderful to have everyone there!! Merry Christmas!
